A therapy practice built around
what others don’t always see.
The relationships we share with our animals can be among the most meaningful of our lives. They also ask a lot of us: caregiving, uncertainty, and more often than not, grief. And there is so much to the experience of pet parenthood that others don't always see or understand.
Hi, I’m Britta
I'm a pet parent myself, and I left a 15-year career as a lawyer to build the kind of support I wish I'd had.
I have lived through the nightmare of a sudden, life-threatening illness in a pet - when your world shrinks to ICU visits, treatment decisions, and waiting for the next update. I have felt the low hum of grief that can come with watching my dog age and decline, long before any loss. I have navigated the waves of grief that can come with cancelling pet insurance or receiving a licence renewal notice months after the death of my animal. And I've known the everyday anxieties that so often come with loving an animal.
Those experiences changed the course of my career and continue to shape the way I work today.
Whether you're grieving a loss, facing a difficult decision, or navigating another emotionally significant part of life with your animal, you don't have to figure it out alone. Sometimes the first step isn't knowing exactly what you need. It's simply having a conversation with someone who understands.
If you're looking for thoughtful, compassionate support grounded in an understanding of the human-animal bond, I invite you to book a complimentary consultation.
